Yoga involves a series of 'poses' creating balance in the body through developing both strength and flexibility. This is done through the performance of poses or postures, each of which has specific physical benefits. The poses can be done quickly in succession, creating heat in the body through movement or more slowly to increase stamina and perfect the alignment of the pose. The poses are constant, but the approach to them vaires depending on the tradition in which the teacher has trained. Helps your flexibility, bringing greater range of motion to muscles and joints.
Yoga classes in Stonehouse.
YOGA FOR ALL ABILITIESMy classes are friendly, inclusive and fun; gentle, yet as challenging as you want them to be. I lead the class through asanas (poses) and sequences of poses with a strong focus on the breath and the movements being seamlessly united so that each action encourages the other. Gentle music, focussed breathing and moving at your own pace allow the body to flow through sequences in a 'moving meditation'. My teaching style incorporates Dru, Vinyasa Flow and Yin. My classes finish with 10-15 minutes relaxation.Everyone can practice yoga, regardless of age, experience or level of flexibility. We can all benefit from yoga if we maintain 'mental flexibility'....patience!
