Yoga involves a series of 'poses' creating balance in the body through developing both strength and flexibility. This is done through the performance of poses or postures, each of which has specific physical benefits. The poses can be done quickly in succession, creating heat in the body through movement or more slowly to increase stamina and perfect the alignment of the pose. Hatha Yoga and MeditationClass includes relaxations, warm-up movements and stretches to prepare the body to practise the classical postures of Hatha Yoga and to move freely in the sequences. Straps and blocks are used to explore the poses on a deeper level assisting in correct alignment of the spine. Breathing techniques are included to bring peace and well being to both mind and body.
This class offers a good overall stretch for the body and works on improving breathing, posture, balance and maintains flexibility. Suitable for people with back conditions.
